Race for Richard Background & History:
One of our Houston PwC Partners, Richard Clark, was diagnosed in 2018 with a progressive and unstable cancer of the blood and bone marrow called Myelodysplastic Syndrome or MDS. Richard has been undergoing treatment at MD Anderson throughout the duration of his diagnosis.
During his time in Moscow with the firm, Richard made fitness and health a big part of his life and started training for IRONMAN competitions. He has subsequently completed 4 races, including the world championships in Kona.
To honor Richard and help fight for a cure for MDS, we launched Race for Richard in 2019 in partnership with LLS and we've raised over ~$500,000 since then! The funds we raise will continue The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's breakthrough development of therapies that have already saved and continue to save thousands of lives.
